Do I Need To Flash Back To Stock...

Do I need to flash back to stock (Cobb AP Stage 2 tune) before getting the latest Mitsubishi reflash? Would the Mitsubishi reflash screw up the Cobb tune if I don't?

Why bother with the factory tune if you already have a Cobb tune? I wouldn't be worrying about going back to stock, I wouldn't let them do it at all.

Yes, you need to un-marry the access port. If not, it won't allow Mitsu to install a new map. You won't loose the map, because it is stored on the Acess Port.

I agree with gizmotoy, why bother? It will just be another useless map you will have to download to your access port.

Thanks guys!

I guess I was also a little worried the dealership would know I have an aftermarket map & void my warranty.

They would if you wouldn't unmarry the COBB and then go to the dealership to get a updated flash.

The COBB maps are better than the stock ones.

Mitsu just wants excuses to charge you if you do anything.

why doesn't someone just post up the latest dealer ROM? *hint hint*

Any interest in the stock 0017 rom? I can slap 'er up there.

its not that..

basically the dealer has a record of what flash your car has - so you need to load up that same flash...

right, but if someone puts up a stock 0020 rom, there is no reason I need to ever visit the dealer for this procedure. I don't care if my ROMID doesn't match what they have on file

me flashing latest upgrade = 30 seconds
making an appointment, going to dealer = 1-2hr ordeal

edit: unless this post wasn't direct towards me. if so, disregard
