Quick WB Question

I'm putting together the shopping list for my jump into self-tuning my X via Ecuflash and have a quick question. Will the AEM Uego, (the older digital display, not the new analog one,) work for my X with Ecuflash and Evoscan? If not, what wideband does everyone recommend?

Thanks,

-Ben

straight off the shelf, no it wont. you need to get a serial cable connector (RS232) and wire it to the gauge, then it will work with evoscan.

my personal preference is zeitronix. it comes ready to log to the laptop.

It seems like many people are using the Innovate LC-1 as well.

Thanks for the input so far.

Follow-up question then: I have a macbook for tuning, which doesn't have a serial port, usb/firewire only. Is there an adapter to make this work?

Yes, you'll need a Serial-USB adapter. Zeitronix sells them or you can hit up Amazon or eBay...

And an FYI, the new Evoscan v2.6 has been giving the UEGO guys some trouble, so the LC-1 or Zeitronix might be your best bet at the moment.

LC1 is good, when it works - mine looks like its working 100% now - touch wood.

LC1 is cheapest of the bunch

ZT2 is probably my next choice based on price, but apparently much easier to use and deal with

Thanks for all of the info, I really appreciate it.

I think I'll probably end up going with the LC1, it fits my budget the best.

ok...

1) run a decent power + grounds - i used a 3 core 10amp cable, i used the power out of the relay box (ill take a pic one day and show u were)

2) use the latest firmware

3) leave the 2.5mm serial thingy ALWAYS connected...
