Need some help with reading stock rom

Need some help with reading stock rom

recently picked up a 2010 evo x, got the Tactrix Cable was trying to read the rom last night but it said unknown rom, so i decided to try it again tonight this is what i see

First selected 2006+ evo Can


Then after it did its thing, i see this


I dont see the ecu id (52680015 number)


And i stumble across a few post and i remember seeing it last night, did i mess up?

This is what i saw last night
I forgot what i did but i might have hit the use wizard to create a new definition

can someone help please?

and i saved it and open back up, still dont see the ecu id =(

You need the 2010 xml file to read your ROM. Search for the 2010 model threads for the proper XML file.

dont i need to find the ecu id first then find the appropriate XML file like this?

Select use wizard and inherit the evo10base, just keep clicking thru next and you'll end up being able to see the ROMID.

Or if you have a hex editor, open up the ROM and check the 5002a address.

This morning when i tried it again, i didnt see the opt again, how do i get that Wizard back up?
