The cobb devices do have multiple tunes available for download but they are generic ones that are made to work on everyone's car with the same mods. We have done some custom tunes for customers with the cobb and that's a great option especially if you already have the access port and want a much better tune than the off the shelf ones they provide. The problem is it gets expensive to buy the device and then buy a custom tune. You may come out cheaper with a netbook, ecuflash, evoscan and tactrix cable and then you're able to be tuned by far more shops since it's the standard for tuning evos.

If you havent modded your car yet, and want to start with a tune, I would go with the Accessport. As Mellon said, when you get some mods on the car, and need a re-tune, he can retune it using your Accesstuner softwar (or his Accesstuner softwar, whatever). For that matter, anyone who can tune using ecu flash, who can't figure out the Cobb ATR software, should probably be looking for another line of work.

Like my sig says... I was the first he tuned with the AP... went great and I was very happy. I'm just so low on funds right now that I can't afford a custom tune for quite some time... hey Chris, how about a discount for a repeat customer?

best investment i ever made was getting my netbook, cable, evoscan and mellon tune!!

i have tried messing with my tune just to learn and see what happens but i'm happier running his tune compared to mine lol.
