Harman Motive Intake - Messing MAF Readings

Hello,

Installed a Harman Motion Intake kit. My MAF is reading low, ie: 195 load @ 24.5psi
I checked for leaks between the airmass and turbo inlet and there seems to be none.

Which tables to adjust in ecuflash and how to adjust them in order to get correct readings?

Tks

I would guess the MAF Scaling table...

Does the intake increase the size of the MAF pipe?

if so you will need to roughly increase the MAF scaling table by the same amount...

I suppose it will be an area calculation, rather than diameter... ie area of a circle =PI*r*r

So I just added the maf scaling tables.
There are no values under (V), all it shows is "..."

There are three tables,

Table 1: starts with "0" ends with "722"
Table 2: starts with "804" ends with "10781"
Table 3: starts with "11221" ends with "41360"

Can someone confirm these are correct? and why doesn't the (v) values show?

Tephra: regarding the rescaling, 24.5 psi should be 245 load. the Maf is currently reading 195, which is 25.6% lower, so i will multiply all the values by 1.256, should work right?

Tks

I believe the Harman intake is roughly the same as the AMS intake which requires about an 8% increase in MAF scaling. If you increase it by 25%, I can promise you it'll be WAY too high.

BTW, the figures in your tables are incorrect, the voltage scale should read 0.000 to 5.000 volts and the actual g/s should read from 0.0000 to 378.6621.

These are not in g/s but in hz (the one Tephra posted)

24.5 psi does NOT equal 245 load...

try adding %5 to the table and re-asses

then add another %5 and recheck...

baby steps

Ah okay, I make all my xml in g/s (Airflow 16) for MAF scaling.

Yeah i added the g/s tables now... so i have both
Changing one changes the other, so they are correct.

Making small changes seems the way to go (ie: 5% a time), but i have checked with several of my friend's evo x and indeed load seems to match the boost in psi x 10 (ie: 25psi = 250 load, 28psi = 280 load, etc...), at least for these boost levels (22 to 29 psi), unlike the evo 8,9 where load = absolute pressure in bar x 100 (when ve=1).

Thanks for the tips, i will give it a try tomorrow, i'm positive it'll work

What is the diameter of the harman motive intake pipe?

Everyone says it is basically a copy of the AMS pipe. Since the flange looks to cover a similar amount of the pipe I'd say 3"
