I am running cobb intake, nisei UICP, ETS 4inch FMIC and stock turboback.....

cobb stage 2 + sf 91 oct (not acn map)....runs perfect with no knock....pulled the pill and my target boost of 23psi is achieved....it gets to about 16psi at redline

running stock exhaust is fine for stage 2....just datalog and see how your car reacts....if it doesn't look good, stick with stage 1 or add full TBE and try stage 2 again....as for me, I run just fine with stock exhaust...I will be throwing on an o2 downpipe and test pipe to accommodate my stage 2

How do you have both an intake and a drop-in filter? I must be missing something.

I only have a dropin and a catback and running Perrin stage 1. I want to try stage 2, but Cobb didn't recommend it without a highflow cat or a testpipe. There will be lots of excess heat, but some people have ran stage 2 fully stock and they were ok. Not recommended by Cobb so didn't bother.

well apparently it is "ok" to do a stage 2 with a cat back exhaust setup
but looking for clarification

I have just a catback and everything has been running fine for me!!! have been flashed with stage 2 for probably 2-3 months or so!! It is safe to run stage 2 you just wont get the full potential of the map.

I actually called Cobb to ask about this specifically, and was told that it should be OK to run the stg 2 map with a test pipe or HFC and cat-back exhaust (stock downpipe), but to monitor the retard values. They also said if you run stg 2 with just a cat-back, the car should be monitored VERY carefully.

I've been running a Cobb Stage 2 tune for about a year and 10,000 miles with a Perrin CBE, AMS HFC, and AEM intake (pill removed). Never seen a CEL in connection with the tune, and my X has always run flawlessly.

I would like to note that I found the newest version v1.04 seems to run better than the earlier versions. Feels a bit stronger (most likely because the torque modulation gets disabled with the newest version), idles smoother, and doesn't back fire as much.
