I personally use the greddy TT. i have it set on P1 for 1:30 if im driving it hard or going for a fun drive. otherwise maybe 30 secs or if just driving easy short distance i turn it off completely. have had some issues with it resetting itself and needing to re program it, problem is instructions are in japanese! otherwise it has been a great piece and for 90 bucks (?) its a good safety investment.

I have read in these forums that Turbo timers are not needed. Very seldom do you ever need to push your car really hard and then stop and immediately shut the car off. This is just what I have read. I am sure people have their own opinions!!!

I own one. Just comes in handy. I have it built into my Clifford alarm system.

I agree, it's not needed. If you ever do push the car harder than normal and then shut it off right away, the radiator fans continue to run after the engine is shut off. This allows the coolant to continue to circulate through the engine and turbo which cools everything down even with the engine off.

waste of money.. if u want a turbo timer, just untie and retie your shoe before u get out of the car each time... AND if u go on a really hard run u wanna let the car idle for more than 10 minutes, ie, trackday, hard canyon run, dragging a heat soaked motor, etc. Turbo timers are dumb

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, so here's mine again. Isnt standing outside of your vehicle for 10 minutes (or having to return to it after this time) a little "dumb" as well. Timers allow for life to go on when timing down is necessary without having to return to your vehicle once its done

Not a total waste IMO, but who gives a **** about my opinion

PS - Mine also functions as a boost gauge (I use Defi's, but some may choose to use it as a secondary guage).
