anyone tried loading the 2010 ROM onto an 08?

well you can't do it without a ECU bench kit...

the power increase is going to be bugger all over a proper tune anyways..

you need a proper bench - ie lots of wires that connect from the OP20 + power + ground to the ECU..

its not worth the trouble..

are you concerned about warranty?

1st 8k also contains ETACs and variant code information ..

there's differences in the variant coding between the 08 and 10 .. you may get variant coding error

well it's interesting... in the AUDM 2010 ROM the first 8k is the same as the 08/09 AUDM ROM..

but yeh USDM is different...

Variant codes include un/availability of certain functions .. that could have already been available on the 08 models for EDM/AusDM

well personally I think upgrading to the 2010 ROM will probably be fine for the 2008 car.

HOWEVER due to the painful nature of the upgrade (ie you need to bench the ECU) its not worth the hassle.

Thus I will be doing a tephramods for 2008 and 2010

so does that means for 2010 rom's can be flashed directly onto audm and edm specs since the 1st 8k line is same ? interesting on what mitsu is doing.
