AGP Cold Air Intake idle problem~

Hi,
I installed my AGP cold air intake today, and had a tune from the tuner. After the tune was finished, the tuner was not able to eliminate the fluctuated Rpm problem since the location of the MAF sensor has been changed. When the car is idle, the rpm will fluctuate, and then stop, and then fluctuate again. I asked the tuner is that ok, and he said it is fine. He suggested me to change the AGP CAI if I want to correct this probelm. Is it true that the idle fluctuated rpm problem is not able to eliminate by tuning?? or the tuner's problem? Also, will idle fluctuated rpm cause other problem?

Thanks for helping~~

its likely not the location of the maf, but the size of it's housing. iirc, the agp intake uses a 3" MAF housing, so the tuner should have scaled your maf tables to compensate (stock is 2.5" iirc, so ~20% increase to scaling values for a baseline). if he just tried to adjust fuel and timing, then yea... never let him touch your car again, try to get your money back, and get a retune elsewhere.

the idle your describing almost sounds like you threw a torque limit code or something similar and the tuner didn't clear it before returning the car. did your CEL come on? if thats the case, its probably temporary and will reset after a couple days. if not, then your hitting the condition to reset the code before it expires, indicating its a bad tune. get the code pulled to be safe

I have the AGP CAI and if tuned properly there should not be a idle issue. Like already mentioned he should have adjusted for the larger piping were the MAF is know located.
