Do I need to tune?

i have searched but not to find what I am looking for. My question is if I was to put bolt ons IE UICP, TBE and intake.... would I be alright till I can get a tune? I dont want to get a Cobb AP just to help along the way when a tune from Brushur is the end result. Thanks for your time and understanding. Not new to tuning just new to EVO's, I came from the Audi community.

Everybody needs a tune. If you car isn't tuned for the mods, get a tune.

Factory tune sucks ***** while dumping gas on your face.

You are gonna get bashed by the search police. I think you will be fine as long as you can keep from going WOT a lot, it will be hard to do! I can't control myself, my car begs for it.

golden is right, even if you had no mods, you should still get some sort of tune just to correct the factory abomination Mitsu calls a tune. Besides that though, what intake are you talking about?

I drove around with AMS CAI, HFC, CBE, FMIC, UICP and LICP without a tune for about 2 months. You will be fine, but like dragonetti said dont go WOT a lot.

You'll *probably* be fine even at WOT with how rich the factory tune is. (..but it is still ill-advised)

The search police would show you that buying the other parts without a tune is nearly pointless though. Those parts will only net you a few horsepower (10-15?) without the tune to back it up (which will probably add another 60+hp on top).

Why spend that money now if you won't be able to enjoy the fruitful gains?

With the plethora of options available to get a tune, cheap and easy, I find it hard to see why anyone would go around with the stock map.

MULTIPLE shops have mail in tunes, Cobb has the AP, countless local shops, etc, etc.
