Stage 2 Boost Restrictor Pill Question

Hi guys, I removed my stock boost restrictor pill awhile ago and forgot which way it goes back in. Does anyone happen to remember?

Thanks.

Are you asking which hose?

Direction doesn't matter.

I'm asking which way the pill goes back in. Direction doesn't matter? But the pill looks different on each side.

Go to Cobbs website and look for the stage 2 instructions, it will tell you have to remove the boost pill. You should be able to follow it backwards.

Hope that helps.

It's a small hole. The direction of flow won't matter, as long as it restricts flow. The direction of flow will be towards the intake, so if one way looks like it would work better, go ahead and stick it in that way.

He doesn't mean the location of the pill. He means the Pill itself.

It doesn't matter which way it goes in. It just restricts flow.

Not really, no. It looks a bit like a funnel, bigger opening at one end and a small hole on the other.

Does the air flow passing through the pill only go in one direction? If that's the case then it should matter which way you put it in. Am I missing something?

It looks like a concave funnel on one end, and the other side is flat. Which side does the funel side go? I took a piture way back when on my iPhone, but it crashed and had to do a full restore so my reference pic is gone! I hope someone remembers, I've already put it back in with the funnel side towards the engine, but it would be nice to know what it should be!

From the shape of it, I would assume that the larger side go towards the turbo and the smaller end goes towards the solenoid. It really shouldn't matter too much even if you put it in wrong but if you are worried, pull out the restictor pill from the other solenoid and see how that was facing. Both pills should be facing the same direction.

I believe SiC is correct - the conical side faces the direction the airflow is coming from ie: turbo. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that is helps control the flow through the restrictor.
