Most def hooked up properly for the bench process...... I check it more than twice.....I was loading an inspection patch..... Nothing abnormal....it flashed fine. Turned car off went to start... And the whole systemwent crazy.....unless the patch tested by goofygrin was bad...... But according to him it was fine on his rom..... So I dunno. I looked over the info multiple times and could find nothing that would cause this.

hrmm that is odd.

I would send it to Colby first, then try the dealership option.

I'd be surprised if it was totally dead. If you mess something up on the ROM, you can force write over it on the bench. Unless something physically happened, you should be able to recover.

Maybe run through your bench protocol with us. Perhaps it wasn't quite right. You're SURE you had the right wiring and settings in ECUFlash? What ROM were you flashing in the recover flash?

Agreed, it should definitely go to Colby before resorting to Mitsu.

That being said, I'd still like to confirm it was done properly. When things go wrong it's possible to miss a step or overlook something.

I assure you guys the bench process was done correctly. I totally forgot colby as an option! That being said.....Mitsu already has the car. And they are dumbfounded. They cannot communicate with the ecu as well. my rom id was 52680020 for those of you who asked. The position I was in didn't give me a lot of time and the car was stuck at work on a school campus and i had to get it out of there asap.....this all happened at 3 am!!! i finally had it towed to mitsu at 1pm. They say new PCM was ordered under warranty. hopefully i'll get my car backon tuesday or wednesday.

ECUFLASH and Benching process, as well as mitsubishi could do nothing with the ecu because of a failure to communicate at all. How can you force a flash if ecuflash doesnt even see it......but i know it was connected properly, and took my time to do it right! and the same message that i received when it was connected to the car is the same message i recieved when it was being benched!

We will see what mitsu says when they get the new one in........
