Soft antilag. Low power engine response.

We have low grip conditions. For example wet track.

To kill understeer we should lift off the throttle. But then we press it again and wait, wait, wait and then receive understeer again. Sometimes we receive oversteer

Idea came from rally cars with antilag. They throttle always open by 25%. Idle and other things done by ignition.

With EvoX electic throttle it's possible to use all features from rally cars and all features from daily driver car.

With Drive by Wire we can always open throttle for 25% and control engine power with ignition retard. First 25% of acceleration pedal move will be used to change amount of ignition retard.

What you think?

i'm sure there are other ways to achieve this.

I do not think you can tune the stock ECU with the drive by wire system to have ALS from the begin with. Im not the tuner , but i do not think its ever been done. And im sure not because no one tried it yet...

Use the left foot for braking, and do not let the gas pedal off when you are doing the braking. This way you will keep the boost up and you will not have hesitation ergo turbo lag when you come out of the turn. Or if you dont want to come out in lower rpm , then just go in the turn in lower gear so your rpm will be up already.

LFB is the poor man ALS. LOL And it does work.

Hi since we both hungarians , please join the EVoklub, for that matter . Those guys are way more advanced about the Evos, and all the whole 9 yard which comes with that.
The electronic throttle body will not make you have an ALS . There is a LOT more there then that. Some in this forum suggested he can tune the stock X ecu to have an ALs on the car with nothing else done with it , just a tune....

So no offense to anyone, but Gergo with Rally related stuff you better off there.

I am deeply offended

my next mod will include a clutch based map - if I can get it working...

so when the clutch is in you get to run whatever fuel/timing maps you like..

so yeh, that will give you half decent ALS..

You can already "sort-of" do it with the SST cars, just set the lower bound tables to have negative timing on shifts, not that it really matters as SST doesn't lose any boost on shifts.

To have true anti-lag you are going to need little explosions before the turbo when off throttle, like true anti-lag. Just Keeping the throttle open without engine load isn't really going to do much.

I can't believe I'm agreeing with RobEvoRS but it's true.

Can the stock Evo X ECUs be tuned for NLTS? I had it on my Talon and it was awesome, all I had to do was wire the clutch safety switch to the ECU

Lulz.

Also, if you really desire to just keep the throttle open you could just alter the minimum values in the throttle tables... but like it has been said I don't think thats going to get you what you want... and you'll lose alot of braking power.

There is a faux NLTS that you can set up. Search for it (you basically just disable the speed under activation paramter). *Someone* doesn't think its valuable enough to include in his next rom

for sst . . . yep timing can be retarded but need air n fuel to go in n spool it up but again might loose engine braking ... hmmmm
