mrfred, if you're going E85 and have any plans to keep modding the car I'd go straight to a 3.5" intake. There's a local company that's making them, I don't know anyone else that has them in production right now:

Rev it. I have my rev limiter set at 8150 but try and keep myself from hitting it, but the car just waaaaants to reeeevvvvv! I have half a mind to do cams/springs/drop-is just to see how much powerband this car really has, even on pump gas.

Yah, he'll probably go straight to a 3.5" MAF. It does love to rev. Power just climbs and climbs. I've got the rev limit set 8250 rpm, and he's got ARP rod bolts and 10,500 rpm springs on the cams. The car made 450 whp DJ last night on 92 oct. Having an issue with consistent knock starting at about 7750 rpm that's holding it back a little. Plus WA 92 octane sucks. I don't think its much better than CA 91 octane. Hoping he'll give E85 a try, but he's worried that the extra power is going to kill the motor.

Not quite, they moved the BOV pipe back. Murlo and I had custom versions done (call them prototypes) that are knock-offs since we already had the AMS.

AMS also makes a 3.5" intake now as well. It comes with their new turbo kit. Otherwise its laid out identically to their old 3" one... the 3" CAI actually fits it with a neck-down coupler

Mine does the same thing I thought it was right when the MAF was hitting 4.9v (and that it was maxed there) but its not consistent. These cars are very sensitive above 7000 it seems.

If you look at the knock tables you'll see why.

Damn! Very tempting to pull back those adders at 7000 rpm+!

We pulled them back on my car...we kept running into phantom knock that my tuner couldn't hear on the det cans. So he adjusted these and bam picked up another 20whp on the ole DD dyno.

People have asked if that was why my motor blew and I did ask my tuner right away and he said no because it was still pulling timing on the dyno after he adjusted them and there weren't signs of detonation at all in the block.

Hrm, bryan any idea what would be considered safe to pull those back to, for experimental or long-term use?

side note: my tables don't look anything like that...I'll have to find the xml for those ones

Actually, I'm not finding the XML for the 08's, only the '10:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/8375998-post3.html

Anyone have a link to the xml for the 08 rom?

What rom do you need the XML for?
