Cobb LWG Maps, what's it do?

My Accessport on a Stage 1 was making me hit 27.1 psi (mods are K&N Typhoon Intake and HKS Cat Back). I switched to the Stage 1 LWG and it hits 24.1 on the nose. What causes certain cars to need this and does this mean when I go to Stage 2 (I have the remaining exhaust parts waiting to go on) that I might not want to remove the boost pill?

Silly questions...but I was quite surprised to hit 27.1 with a normal Stage 1...just want to know what I should do with the Stage 2 map.

I would try the stage two map without the pill removed and see what it does. If its similar then your set. If boost is low, then pull the pill.

I didn't know Cobb had a shelf map for that intake yet.

They don't have a mapp for it. I tried using the Cobb SF LWG map and I was hitting 25 psi. Is it that bad to run an unsupported intake...I figured this one wasn't too bad since it had the stock MAF tube.

How do I log AFRs with the Access port, via the AccessRace software?

I ran a stage 2 WITH the boost pill for a month, then removed it. honestly i saw no real difference on the boost gauge eitherway. its takes 5 mins to remove, you can always throw it back in if your not happy.

also your spiking at 27psi not actually running a steady 27psi so i wouldnt be too worried.

The LWG map lowers WGDC (waste gate duty cycle) to produce less boost. 27psi seems high for a stage 1 map. I thought that was normally around where the stage 2 maps were supposed to be set boost wise. I typically thought that the LWG maps were to drop boost only if you were seeing overboost issues and throwing a code but maybe I'm wrong

I wasn't throwing a code, but it seemed like a sustained 27psi, so I figured I drop it. The car ran great on the regular stage 1, no backfires at all. Now on the LWG I'm getting pops out my exhaust again, though not as many as when I was without the Cobb.

Is it possible to log the AFRs with Cobb via the Accessport or even their software?

Backfires aren't bad necessarily...most turbo back evo's backfire on occasion. It should be possible to log the AFR with the AP. If it was hitting 27psi spikes then at redline you were guestimating probably around 17-18psi at best.
