Confirmed : SST 1st gear throttle limit MR vs RA

So I confirmed today that my RA *does not* have the first gear throttle closing feature that the MR's do.

Quite interesting.

MR:

RA:

Now I'm hoping this is 100% in the ECU and not the TCU. This could help find it for the MR guys

Also to make things clear, my RA currently has MUCH more power then the logged MR in the first graph, so it's not a power thing.

Good find, I'm really looking forward to more of the SST "quirks" being resolved. The Evo with that trans really is fun to drive, I'd love to pick up a used MR at some point.

it might be because you have tuned the RA SST maps?

MR closes throttle down to around 45% at WOT in 1st.

RA does not.

any reason for why the MR does this?, is it a protective feature? And why not the RA? is it because we do not have the same power output and could this be why we see alot of Ra sst trannys failing?

What ROM ID is your RA?

Are you willing to send me a copy of your current ROM?
