2nd has a higher limit .. you can run up to 23psi depending on turbo

The limit is due to weakness in the 1st and 2nd gear rather than a limit with the clamp pressure

1 thing different being what? S-Sport mode?

Here is what I have found:

From my logging:

The clutch pressures are *lower* between Evo SST and RA SST for the same mode and same engine loads. The RA being lower between the two.

The 1st and 2nd gear "sticking in gear" problem happens at a *lower* boost level in the RA then the Evo.

The RA does not have the 1st gear throttle close limit like the Evo does.

Those are some of the different things I have found.

I would love to hear your thoughts on those. I'm not challenging you whatsoever, just curious.

I would find it odd that the engine ECU controls the SST's capabilities (in terms of allowing SSPORT)

I would be HAPPY if it did thou...

clutch pressure is a function of demand .. *shrug*
Both have almost similiar software

torque is a function of boost .. 'lower' <> same / similiar torque .. so the difference you see could be from that ..

1st gear throttle close is a ECU thing .. not a SST thing .. yes .. the RA doesn't have the limiter in place .. don't ask me why ..

You're better at finding these things than me ..
But yes .. in this case you're right .. SSport is not controlled by ECU ..

Yes I know these things, what I am saying is that for the same load, on both RA and MR, the MR runs higher clamping pressure.
