Password JDM: UICP fitment issues?

I just bought a Password JDM UICP for the evo x, but the fitment way off. I wanted to know if anyone has bought and installed on on their car.

If you are not familiar with this pipe, it replaces soft pipes only and retains the aluminum pipe that connects to the intercooler.

OEM: Interior Diameter = 2.25"
PJDM: Interior Diameter = 2.00"

Also, the coupler that it comes with has the interior diameter or 2.25" and can no way fit over a pipe that already has the same interior diameter as well as the rolled edges.

Anyone? I sent them a message, but have not heard from them yet.

I have pictures that I will upload tonight.

Here are the pics:

In the last picture, I don't know if you can tell, but the OEM pipe is so much more beefy than the JDM pipe. Does this make sense to have a smaller pipe than OEM?

Not that this adds to anything, but why did you buy that pipe, over the others, from well known companies that make Evo products (AMS, ETS, PPI, Buschur, Nisei, etc)?

Yea I would have just slapped it on too if I could get the coupler on, lol. It's a small coupler.

PSWDJDM sucks. I spent a grand on that kevlar intake for my s2000 club racer, and couldnt even close my hood no matter how much I tried to adjust it and reposition it. Why would you buy parts from a company who up until now hasnt done anything with evo's. I say return it and buy ets, ams, bushur or any of the other companies out there.

They are also trying to market their strut bar as 5-point, when it is clearly a 3-point bar.

You're getting it all wrong! Its 3 points for the brace, and 2 points for JDM-ness. Thats 5 points in my book!

sorry maybe wrong area. I bought it because it's just a pipe. I had a few other UICP that never quite fit or wanted to go a different direction in terms of color/# of pieces. I bought this pipe because of the color honestly. It's just a damn pipe not thinking of how bad the could be off vs other reputable companies that still have fitment issues. Also, the parts looked quality and wasn't that expensive. The brushed color is sexy. I'm planning to return this if they don't make a bigger pipe.

I've already talked to the sales guy at PJDM and the vendor I bought it from. They understand my concern, but it is up to their engineer people if they want to fix it. If not, I'll return it.

had the same issue. impossible for me to find a 1.75" - 2.38" coupler to fit their UICP to the stock piece. Their UICP is not as advertised and is only 2.38" instead of 2.5" (stock).

Returned it and they have refunded me. Now waiting for them to make good their promise to refund me the return shipping charges. I am from overseas.

By the way, I share your frustration. Waiting for weeks for this to be delievered and in the end, it does not fit. Like you said, it is just a damn piece of UICP and they can't get it right.

I gave PJDM a heads up too that others would return it. Guess I was right. I returned mine too yesterday to the distributor. Can't believe how sh*tty the fitment was.
