fuel map changes
fuel map changes
I been looking around for a forum to post in as I dont really fit anywhere. I have an Austin Mini with a custom 7-port aluminum head that is fuel injected and controlled by an SC Typhoon system. I am working with someone who has the same setup but is using it for racing. He has had the head extensively modified to flow even better. He will be running it on a large bore stroker engine used only for racing. Since we will be stepping well outside of the designed HP figures and thus outside of the flow rating of the provided injectors; we will be uprating them from 220cc/min (with 50psi on the rail) to 270cc/min (with 43psi on the rail) .Yes we will be dropping the fuel pressure from 50 to 43. The real question come with how can I calculate a good base line for the fuel map. Can I somehow use the old map to figure a starting point for the new map.

In our world, you would scale the injector size and set the proper latency to get to a starting point, but if there are head changes or VE changes that can impact your particular system much differently.
I would probably take this question to a mini forum.
