Elaborate.

Lock button on the inside of the car?
Lock button on your Remote?
Lock button on the outside door handle?

I've got an MR EDM.
Reading the manual I've found something about a sistem called Deadlock that when activate it doesn't let open the car from inside. (I think if someone crash one window the lock-unlock button inside doesn't work). I think on my car it doesn't work because when you active it the car will flash more times than normal...mine doesn't, so I assume that it's not activated.
To activate it you have to (from user manual) push again the lock button on your remote after the first time.
I didn't see any different flash from my MR so holding it I've discovered that my windows will automaticaly close.
You can set this function inside MMCS setup. Unfortunately my car doesn't have motorized closing mirrors but only manual. If you have that funcion my user manual says that with your remote control you can close windows and mirrors. Inside MMCS you can choose if they can automaticaly open when the car reaches few mph after starting.
I'm not sure, but I think I've done this test: windows won't close using lock button on the outside door handle.
Try also to lock the car from remote and then holding again the locking button.

Sorry for my English, I hope it's clear enough.

I will try but do not know if USDM supports this feature.

Inside settings...where you can choose the numbers of flashing when you close the car, the units, and so on. There isn't nothing about windows?

Golden works for you?

according to the factory service manuals, there are two radio receiver modules depending on whether or not you have keyless entry:

(from memory, excuse any inaccuracies/vagueness)
KOS - Keyless Operating System(?) - should be obvious who gets this
WCM - Wireless control module

On my car (non-keyless, WCM) the WCM is also the module that listens for TPS data (KOS too, I think).

In the case of TPS, the WCM periodically sends a message on the CAN bus to the Dashboard ECU(forgot acronym) to display the TPS. Presumably, the lock/unlock feature works the same (unless the WCM controls that directly- possible but unlikely).

So, the way I see it, you need a few things to make this work.
1- ability to write code for/reflash the WCM/KOS. to my knowledge, this is not something anyone is currently doing.
2- figure out how windows are opened/can be opened via CAN bus.
3- figure out a mechanism to interpret a unique keypress event to trigger #2

the above is based off of my very limited knowledge in researching a way to defeat the TPMS via software (a backburner project of mine). feel free to correct me/clarify if I'm wrong anywhere.

edit: obviously there are multiple ways to skin a cat. if you haven't seen it already, there is a video somewhere on this forum of someone who wrote a CAN bus "injector" that independently accomplishes this, thus eliminating the first two steps above. (but this was likely easier on that VW, which already has the "roll down windows" event triggered off un/locking the driver's door and holding it L or R)

Wow.. having the windows auto-close on lock, and open again on start would be a really nice feature to have.

Can't believe they removed this feature for USDM.. stupid safety reasons, maybe?

Guess people over here would probably sue Mitsu if the windows auto-magically rolled up and trapped a finger or something while they're standing outside.. then again, how in the heck would you even be able to get back inside to start the car to roll them down again in such a situation??
