Tune needed for replaced downpipe with stock cat?

Do I need a tune if I replace the downpipe, but leave the stock cat? (I have a catback right now, and intake/UICP... nothing else.)

I'm not doing it for power gains.. the only reason why I was thinking of doing it is I have someone who has a lift, and can help right now.. but won't have the shop a few months from now.

Also, I would be driving it like that for about 6 months, then I'll be doing a hi-flow, cobb, and tune. I simply don't have the funds to do it all right now.

And I'm really looking for someone who actually knows.. not "I read somewhere", or a friend of a friend...

Ideal? No. Safe? Probably.

My o2 elim dp threw my tune off quite a bit, but I did have a testpipe at the time.
