I have a '13 GSR and I'm assuming that my relay is good and won't need to be changed. Correct?

Take a pic. I doubt it's been changed.

Assumptions are always bad when engine safety is concerned.

Do the Russian thing and trust but verify.

You'll be glad you did.

So should I still get a blue one? Or should I just go ask them for a new relay and see what they end up giving me lol

Spend the $10 and get one that you know works right.

So this morning, my car (2011 RA) wouldn't start, but the engine cranks. However, it cranks slower than normal.

Could this be a bad fuel pump relay that you guys are talking about on this thread, or could this be something else?

FYI, I did an Intake, UICP, FMIC, and Hi-Flow Cat swap a couple days ago also.

The fuel pump relay is responsible for high load fuel switching. It is more likely the starter relay as it is the same POS relay. Try pulling it and shaking it. It will sound like a salt shaker. I would buy the whole kit and replace them all.

Im with him. Long story short i had my engine replaced due to water in the engine. I just picked it up friday and the car takes a while to turn on. Before i had the engine replaced it had no problem turning on. Now i have to turn the ignition and hold for 3 seconds or so to turn the car on. Any ideas? Btw i have a 2010 ralliart with 45k miles on the odometer, but technically "17" miles because of the new engine. Help?

Just checked my '13 GSR and it's got the really small black fuel pump relay. Definitely too small to be one of the upgraded style ones shown in this thread. Guess I'll just be proactive and order the replacement set, can't hurt.

Thanks for the info!

Has anyone confirmed if this is still an ongoing issue? Does the 2014 have this issue? Crap. I can't wait to get home to check it. Carpooled today and my car is sitting at home.

frustrating that no one has a definite answer here. I have a 2011 Canadian car. How would I know if I have part of the old batch or not since people are saying that the old and new black relays look the same.

The new black one doesn't look the same as the 1st one.
They are nearly twice the hight of those ones and with the Omron MR122409 code (instead of MR588567 , 8627A011 , 8627A024)
