Reading from TPMS

Has anyone looked into reading tire pressure from the TPMS system? Is it even possible? The sensors must read the actual pressure because a warning comes up on cold mornings if the tires are below ~30 psi.

I'm sure its possible..

Trouble is here in AU we don't get TPMS, so I cant go and "sniff" the CAN traffic to work out the requests the MUT3 would use to grab the info.

The TPMS is the EVO is a lower grade sending unit that only sends a signal if the sensor does not have enough pressure on it. Next time your tire is off the car you can verify this by the part number on the sensor. The same company makes much better and even some lower grade sensors. The high grade one will read tire pressure and temp on each tire within .1 Of course we dont have the receiver to get this data in our cars.

Yeah I have a client that sells tires, wheels, carries all the various sensors for different cars, etc.

Cool thanks for the info. I figured if it had been possible Mitsu probably would have put the readings in the center display like other cars.

They certainly could have. I'm sure it saved them a whole 2 bucks not to... Car manufactures do some of the dumbest **** to save money...
