Hi,

not sure if i'm in the correct section, but i have a question on maf volt reading. i'm setting up my meth. i need a maf volt input. i'm not sure where to tap my wiring. i'm reading the evo x manual for it, and i'm a complete noob at circuit diagrams now my question is, i have 1 wire input for my meth controller.

1. does the ecu pinout 87 will do it?
2. if i tap it in that pinout, will it read the 0-5 volts?

any suggestions or input are always welcome. thanks!

 

It is surprising that it connects to MAF and not fuel pulse. Usually you would want the meth control to be in-line with fuel when it is 3d (not just on/off based on boost). Airflow does not necessarily correlate to power or fueling requirements without other inputs.

Since the ECU connectors are well wrapped it might be better to tap at the MAF connector, but I shudder at the thought of tapping either of those harnesses!

 

thanks for the reply..yea i should have gone with aquamist system which goes with injector pulse width..my meth kit is CM and i'm planning to inject based on boost and maf..that's the only i have with that kit..well a future project for me to get aquamist..anyway, yea we have 4 wires in the maf connector..i think i'll borrow my bros volt meter..
