I just scheduled my 2013 GSR to get the master cylinder recall performed and they informed me that Mitsubishi has a new flash for the computer that they will do also. I have looked and looked on the internet and cannot find what this is and what problem it is addressing???

 

I would like to know too. I recently got my cmc recall done but don't think i had the reflash. I compared the maps before and after and they were exactly the same.

 

+1 my went in for my recall but they did not mention a reflash?

 

Just had my cmc done and I was told I had to have all recalls done including the reflash if I wanted the cmc covered. Service manager said he figured I was already tuned so he just marked the reflash as complete and sent me on my way. Not sure what is addresses since I didn't have to do it

 

OK I got some odd information when I got my car back. The master cylinder recall was complete and so was the reflash. After going through about 3 or 4 people they said that the reflash has to do with the engine code not matching the tune that is on the car. They said it had to do with how it came from the factory. Sounded very odd and the guy telling me this information wasn't 100% sure either. He was reading something from Mitsubishi's dealer infromation site. (FYI I have no mods on my car except tinted windows, so I know it wasn't overwriting a custom tune etc. Also I bought my car brand new).

 

+1 I bought my evo first week of december '13 and had CMC recall done at local mitsu dealer. They did not mention anything about a reflash.
