I am new to evos i just bought a evo 4 with a evo 8 engine fitted
At idle the ingine presure light flickers wen the engine is hot, at idle it sits just under 1000 rpm
If i rev it to 1100 rpm tbe light goes out need some advice plees thank you

 

First thing i would do, is hook up a mechanical oill pressure gauge and see what the oil pressure actually is.

 

Also, low oil pressure may indicate worn main bearings. Since you bought it used i would check either way.

 

I changed the oil presure switch and the light has gone out thanks for ure help

 

Yeh, the ralliarts used to have that problem. Oil pressure switch would eventually fail and cause the low oil pressure light to come on during idle.
