OBD2 to ETACS ECU Can_L no continuity

I was trying to get my car evo x gsr sst 08 retune, the tuner was not able to talk to the ecu from the OBD2 port. So the tuner did a bench reflash thinking that the ECU was lock by previous tuner. Bench flash was successful but still not able to talk the ECU through OBD2 port. Error code was J2534.

Found out that there was no link to the ETACS ECU from the OBD2, and start troubleshooting and found out that the pin 14 from the OBD2(C-40) to pin 6 of the ETACS ECU(C-301) which is the CAN_L line had no continuity. But both connector was in good condition no sign of damage and the wires was all intend and looking good from where we can track and see.

So my question is, is it worth to remove the whole dash board and track the wire to see where the damage is and repair it or am i able to run short whip using a twisted pair for the Can_H and Can_L as this are the communication line for the can bus between the OBD2 and ETACS ECU. From the service manual, it was showing the wires are directly run between the no connector and not joint to other component.

Any one have this issue before can advise? Thank you.

Btw after bench flash to stock map, car still able to start and drive around no porblem.

ok so am i able to replace just the 2 can bus wires which is the Can_H and Can_L with the twisted pair. as this way will be a lot cheaper for me to do as the workshop will charge me $800 sing from where i am because they need to basically remove the whole dash board to trace and replace the broken wire.
