ecu swap
ecu swap
ok so im looking to get a little more pep out out my 2014 evo. i was thinking maybe intake, test pipe, cat back exhaust, tune and boost controller. i have been reading about the flash counter and would like to avoid any problems in regards to it. i was thinking to get a spare ecu and flash that ecu in order to avoid flash counter problem.
so my question is, is there any way mitsu would be able to tell if my original ecu has not been in use because of it not being active in the car up untill it is put back in the car again? This would be just in case it has to go in for any warranty work.
also what is required in order to make a spare ecu work? i was reading about it being needed to be vin encoded or something like that and possibly benching it?
any input would be appreciated thanks
