Cobb Accessport with Aftermarket downpipe ?

I have a 2011 Evo X GSR with a Cobb Accessport running stage 1 right now, buschur racing catback. Just bought a ETS downpipe.. Wanted to know if I install the downpipe, should I flash to stage 2 or leave it at stage 1 because I don't have the testpipe yet? Thanks..

I would say stage 1. The cat section is the MOST restrictive portion of your whole exhaust, so it's the most important.

why not just install both at the same time? test pipes are pretty cheap, then you can go to stage 2

I have a question similar to milab's. I currently have an Injen Intake/UICP and AMS Downpipe installed. I am about to purchase an ETS higflow cat and cat back exhaust. Do not want to deal with a test pipe. Once I have those two items installed. Would it be ok to run Stage 2, or even Stage 3?

I use COBBs stage 3 with my LWG boost control settings from stage 1. Only have a high flow cat with a gutted/modified stock muffler.

Interesting that you went with a downpipe before test pipe/hfc. I agree with what has been said already- slap a test pipe on there and then go stage 2.

I'm not buying parts in any particular order. The main reason for doing the downpipe so soon is because I had an AFR gauge sitting and wanted it installed and didn't want to mess with welding a bung since this was going to be a mod I was going to do anyway.
