Installing turbo before tune?

Ok so currently my car sits at 346/356 on a bolt on tune by Ivey. I had planned to install a Map EF3 and Full-Race manifold then limp over to my tuner to get it tuned up. But now they don't have an appointment for me until next weds.
My question is: say I install the turbo on Thursday 10/23 is it ok to drive around until wedsnesday 10/29 for a tune? Obviously taking it easy.. Also is it possible to get a base map that will be ultra conservative that I could use until tune?
