COBB Stg1 K&N Typhoon Calibration
Hey!
I put on my K&N Typhoon intake earlier today, I took it for a spin with just the plain stage 1 map I already had loaded... The intake sounded like crap in low and mid range rpms, so I pulled over and reflashed to the map I redid myself as according to the Cobb intake calibration video.. the car was getting wayyyy too much air and nearly shutting off in idle, so I reflashed to the ots stg1 and went home to fix the map.. This time with the "fixed" map, the car shut off a second after I turned it on... Help? Does anyone have a tune I could use?! Anyone have a similar issue!?

I think for one you may have had a leak in the intake somewhere. Secondly you have to give it time for the ecu to learn the new parameters. If you did everything right with the AP then it should be fine. I'd reinstall, double check for leaks, and go from there. Or take it to a tuner.
I just put on a k&n typhoon intake on my otherwise stock FE, and it has no issue holding idle or anything else. Yes, its loud, not quite sure I like that, but the car seems more responsive, so it may stay. I need to figure out who's gonna tune it, and if I should go open source or accessport.
