Oil return route

While changing my valve springs, head still on, dropped a keeper in a tiny hole next to the valve spring. I believe its an oil return hole. I popped off my oil pan and its not down there. Would it be a good idea to take a syringe with oil to try and wash it down? I dont know exactly where them holes empty out at into the oil pan. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks!

Harbor freight telescoping magnet set. The head is aluminum will only stick to the steel keeper. Might be worth a try.
