no, actually they dont even do 75% of all that, to actually check the car like that schedule for them is not wort it, 1st if you have an evo and you take it to the dealer,,, make sure that they are going to give it to the Master tech, becuase the mayority of time if it is a small part or a dealer service they always give it to the newves... trust me i know...that 1st because i was a mechanic in an (XY dealer) and everitime they will give performance cars for a service or a small part to newves)

Disagree With Mitsu

Disagree with Mitsu on the interval on the transfer case. It should be a 15 K change.

I've seen a few of these burn up already. When you change the fluid at 30 K it's hella dirty. Think it's because it's such a high load area, and it's such a small volume. It also doesn't hurt to overfill it a bit.

Interestingly service group with whom I've communicated says transfer case and trans-axel both should be changed around 15 K which is a 500 ish service ??). Does your opinion above apply to both or just transfer case. My thought was to try to do it around 17K or so miles.

Fluid quant. disparity

There are huge disparities in the fluids link amounts and the maintenance schedule amounts. Like eg the maintenance sched calls for 8.3gallons of the Dia Queen but the fluid post says capacity is 2.3qts??
Is it that the qts suppose to be gal in the fluids post?

So is the consensus that we should change the fluid and filter at 10k and then at the 30k,60k etc.?
Thanks.

For the engine? Mitsubishi calls for 5W-30, but many of us in warmer climates use 10W-30.
