I will say this

This car will need 400 whp to beat a Evo IX with 260 whp

The X feels very heavy - although it certainly handles very well
Edit

I meant to type 360 whp

360 whp is a typical power level we see on Stage IV Evo IX's with pump gas

My feeling is that this Evo X will require more power to go just as fast as the Evo IX

I am glad that some of you still listen to what I write !

question. isn't WHP just WHP. If the dyno takes in consideration of weight then the resulting WHP would be equivalent no?

Oh ok, 40 hp difference for the added weight makes much more sense. BTW AL, have you seen AMS' and TurboTrix's results so far? The X is making more power mod for mod than the 9 did! Shiv, over at vishnu, has tested the car with a tune via his piggyback software (don't like piggybacks myself, I'm a reflash guy), and NO BOLT ONS, and is putting out a lot of power; about 10 more hp than a 9 with a tune AND A TBE! The car makes huge gains from being leaned out, as I'm sure you guys will find out soon. The car is running stupid rich under boost, like 9.0:1 air/fuel. Turbo trix so far saw a whopping 104hp increase with nothing more than ic pipes, intake, tbe, and a mbc set only a touch higher than stock mainly helping taper, and NO TUNE! The X may need more power to overcome the added weight, but it's making A LOT more power than the 9 so far. Good luck, and let us know what kind of gains you guys get.

it's a td05 that's been modified with a smaller compressor wheel and slightly larger turbine wheel with a larger hot side. Basically, it can't compress quite as much air, but it can flow more than the 9 turbo. It's designed to be a quicker spooling turbo with still decent top end power.

I like this video review. Good stuff.

Maybe it feels heavy because you're a little bigger guy and you've got a passenger. Put on your seatbelt already.

I'm curious where you got this info. I haven't seen anything about it yet.

The X turbo does NOT flow more than the IX turbo, i dont know where your getting this info from. The X turbo flows 4-5 psi less than the IX turbo, it spools faster than the IX turbo
