Was the boost level raised on the X GSR? If so by how much. I got to drive one the other day while i was out and i was impressed by the level of improvement in the overall dynamics of the car. the big question will be how much power will the new 4B11 world motor hold.

Seein how its vishnu and they dislike MBCs, i have to bet its on ECU based boost controller.

Here we go again, an informative thread turned into a pissing contest by who else BOOSTEZ (you are so lucky I am not a moderator). Seriously this thread has nothing to do with a IX so stop bringing it up, and yes I do understand it's only human nature to want to compare, but look we are talking about one tuned EVO X vs. hundreds upon hundreds of EVO IXs, so it really is a little to early to compare. You see I look at these threads to see how the X is coming a long, not to see how it compares to my IX. As far as the 12.6@109.9mph pretty impressive in my opinion, no it isn't the greatest time in the world, and yes I am sure there will be others that will post even better times with similiar mods, but I just wanted to see how the Vishnu claims of more power translated outside of the dyno room and traps of 109 to 11mph on 91 octane is pretty impressive. Just a tune and a exhaust and this X will hang with or beat stock Charger SRT-8s.

There is another thread that talks about the mods and tune in this forum, check it out.

what is your point, that the X should outperform the IX eventhough it weighs in at extra 300lbs?

like above, lets stick to topic

^ just saying power to weight is important but with more sophisticated awd systems try can be compensated for... But we are just looking at drag racing times here I guess and not everyone is looking for that and I don't believe its the primary function of the car

Congrats btw on the moderator promotion

12.6 is hardly impressive. for a tune and catback. People were doing that with a dropped exhaust and mbc untuned on a ix.

Wow, did you read the original post. The car is having a harder time getting off the line due to the rev limter, and they said that the car should no prob do 12.2-12.4 range. A pissing contest for sure.

why does everyone compare the previous gens. to the x, if it can actually do a 12.2-12.3, if the limiter is off, then thats pretty impressive. 12.6 is very good, with just those mods.

My IS350 with full ARC intake and HKS catback could pull on my bros Chrysler 300C SRT-8 when it was stock. I'm sure an X with tune and exhaust will smoke the hell out of a stock Charger/300C SRT-8.

Actually it doesn't.

Actually it does. ;-)

You guys just didn't dig deep enough. The bottom clutch switch has no effect on the rev limiter, you need to dig deeper (and higher) and unplug the upper clutch switch to disable it.

Now get those 12.2-12.3s, damnit!
