COBB Tuning -- Definitely on the ball with the X, and GT-R !
Between the trans and paint issues on the X, I am waiting to see what Cobb does with the X before pulling the trigger. Both my current Suby's use Cobb parts and I will tell you that they always fit perfectly, they are very well made and do what they advertise. I had a HKS Carbon/Ti on my STi, but it was too loud for me and I got the Cobb TBE and it is perfect. I also have never had issues with their AP OTC maps. Both cars run smooth and strong. I can't wait...Keep up the great work Cobb
^^ Me too! Had a ton of COBB parts on my '05 STi. Like you, I am weaiting on the X as well, I'm dying here, but I remember waiting for the '05 STi when I almost bought the '04. I was very pleasantly rewarded with many improvements in the '05.
I spoke with Cobb yesterday and was told that they do not have any official release dates on their new products for the X. They would only say spring/summer for the bolt-ons. I asked about the access port and was told that they are making progress on it and they have a mitsubishi ecu guy there working on it with them. They would not comment on the estimated release date of the access port though.
I really liked the staggered dual tips and will probably be going with their exhaust when it is available.

i talked with cobb in may and they told me "...safest estimate that I could give you for a release is sometime before the end of the year...". not that that is a big help but it is what i was told.
The MS3 guys had to wait forever for their parts, and they're still not done. It's what, 18-20 months since the release of that car? The running joke is once the "official" release estimate is made, add a year to it. We don't even have an official estimate to "add a year to" yet.
It's too bad, too, because they're some nice-looking parts. I doubt they'll even start to think about mass-producing the Evo stuff until they've got their STI catalog filled out... they are primarily a Subaru shop, after all.
