i did contact with mike, and this is what i got from him:

quote:

"LOL well we got 37psi out of the stock turbo. The sucker won’t go anymore thought.

And if you look at the video I made me daily driving. You can see how much boost it makes on daily base. That’s 93 straight.

http://titsup-racing.com/video/evo/2...ng_to_work.wmv

From that video you can see how much boost I ran all day and all night.

Hope this helps you out.

And I think the new motors should be able to take more then the 4g63. And yes I can be wrong lol. Someone has to just try and see what they can get out of it."

a reason i asked him because i wasn't 100% sure. But i didn't know he did run on that high PSI . with no C16 mix

We were able to get peaks of 36 to 37 psi on the Evo 8 and 9 turbos with the boost controllers turned wide open. This turbo seems to be similiar. We didnt do such peak spikes on anything less than 100 octane fuel though. Running at that high of a peak will show you what the turbo has in it on the top end though. If it peaks at 37 psi, what it runs at 7500 RPM is what the turbo is capable of.

I'm sure the straight pump gas numbers will come soon too.
It is amazing how this new engine with little mods will serve the majority of evo owners, and put shame on other manufacturers face...

Good numbers.. but thats some pretty high boost. Can we expect more power at the same boost when more tuning options are available? Sorry I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to this kinda stuff. All I can do is compare it to the 4g63 at similar boost levels.

Nice to see a post that's back on topic. But for what it's worth, martin of AMS did say that once they get control of the ignition and cam timing tables that more power should be easily attained.

will be very interesting to see if much power is gained with cams and a proper alky kit or e-85 tune, or if the turbo will run out of gas. IMO this will be the real test seeing as how most people will keep the stock turbo, cant wait
