That's what repeated hard launches will do to the garbage clutches that mitsu puts in their cars.

LOL 600 miles, and somehow it's the clutch's fault? Any street clutch will do that if you launch it before it's broken in. The flywheel and pressure plate are really grippy when new, and the clutch material is grippy as well, very tall, and still have some organic compounds to burn off (although that clutch looks like it was torched, so I'm sure that happened very quickly). Anyway, it reminds me of the time a guy put on BRAND NEW street pads at the track, and proceeded to hot lap it without bedding them in. They basically crumbled into pieces...

Clearly improper break-in and abuse.

Mitsu should have not put the twin plate in the auto car and just put it in the GSR.

Can you ask your customer if he repeatidly launched the car? Granted I cannot see the pics right now due to network policies, but I really don't want to jump on this "guy abused his clutch" band wagon.

I am curious to find out if it smelled like slipping clutch from day one. I think we have all smelled this and sometimes while the clutch is engaged and simply accelerating. Maybe...just maybe...the non-ajustable pedal linkage is causing preload of the pedal/clutch.

If you could see the pictures, with all the shreds of clutch material and excessive heat checking to the point i'm sure everything from the flywheel to the pressure plate is warped, it would remove any doubt you might have. clearly abuse. that's my final answer lol. but at least he took it to get fixed like a man and didn't just post on here complaining mmna won't warranty it lol.
