Now if we have something of this nature for the EVO X I'd be all over it. Just check out that fine plumbing!

seeing these pics makes me want to go trade my MR in for it, now that i think about it i might go to subaru tomorrow and see whats up.

thanks for the pics dude

that exhaust like a Labyrinth... i dont know how the exhaust gas escape out of it? If you straighten out those pipes ,actually you can wrap around the car... And they want money for it...
The titanium tip is just a bling-bling for me.

less piping - straighter exhaust= lighter weight - more power

That is a BASIC principals for a performance exhaust.

i wouldnt say they are not skilled, its just that most shops in us take easy route and slap something together in 2 days instead of actually doing some research and putting thought into it. i recall seeing a whole bunch of bolt-ons within days of shops getting the X. I have yet to see one exhaust i would get if i had the X. No one even has a muffler only option, for example

but this sti exhaust is just the oposite extreme, WAY overbuilt and perhaps overengineered, they may have focused on look of the tips, complexity, and perhaps wanted to achieve certain sound, thing reminds me of a pipe organs.

just because made in Asia, its doesn't mean is a good product right away...
Even in Japan they run into dead ends many times.

Too many people are caught up in the aesthetics of something that is largely out of sight for 99.99% of the car's service life.

I wouldn't say it's the "easy route". Many companies, like ours, make products to perform. We simply build in the most logical way (quickest exit, least amount of material) without cutting corners, and while making sure the look and sound is appealing to the customer.

I do agree that that particular STi exhaust is a bit extreme and overbuilt.

That STI exhaust is a nightmare. Look at all the bends. Its borderline ridiculous IMO, and probably does not provide very good gains.

But it looks cool and in the end, isn't that what really counts?

Could you possibly build something that loops over the trunk and exits under the wing for me?

That's definitely just you. Every major media outlet has chosen the X over the STI.
