We had one guy that the UICP blew off but he admitted he didn't really tighten it. I've had mine for a while and had the car up to 160MPh and it didn't blow off. So as long as it's installed properly you're good to go.

That is what Kevin said to me in the an email. I have no reason to make it up. I dont understand why they would do that either, but that is what they said.

Got my car back late tonight. Was going to install the UICP pipe and try to do it without taking off the bumper. I have no Idea how any of you guys can do it. If you have suggestions let me know. I can barely get my hands in there much less any tool that will actually get to the clamp. I you guys have any suggestions let me know before I go taking the whole bumper off. In that case Im going to wait for FMIC and LICP and do it all at once. I thought could do this in 10 min. I set out there for 2hrs trying to get my hands or tools in there before I gave up lol.

I pulled it off without taking off the bumper. I have gorilla sized paws and it took me about 1.5 hours to finish the job...you just have to go slow and be patient with the lower fitting. One thing I will suggest is using a screw driver through the front grill to take the stock clamps off of the lower part of the UICP. You'll just need one of those ratcheting wrenches or a small standard type ratchet to get the clamps on.

Heres My Pipe Installed and the tools I used to get it off and on without taking the bumper off. Took me about a hour and a little blood loss(Watch Out for the Heat Shield). The right tools really help. Part of my time was looking for a clip a dropped.

I just got mine installed without taking the front bumper off as well. It took about an hour. They only part which was time consuming was getting the clamps loose and re-tightened at the intercooler outlet. I was able to cram my right hand down there to get a couple fingers on the clamp to keep it steady when it was loose.

The pic above comes from the nisei forum. Please don't hammer him till he gets mine shipped out

I payed last week. Looks like he should be ready to start shipping in the next few days.

I'll have a dyno review posted asap after I get the set for the shop car

I've had the UIP for a few weeks now but have held off on installing knowing I will need to pull the bumper I wanted to do them all at one time.
