DTM Stage 2 Bolt on Intercooler

Production and R&D for our RR Stage 2 Intercooler is done.
It utilizes a 3.5" Tube and Fin core Made by Griffin Thermal Products and is made to bolt to all the stock mounting spots and IC piping. Our testing was done on ALL STOCK piping, intake and tune. We gained 1.2 PSI at the outlet of the core from back to back tests using the stock core vs the new one at 24 psi falling to 17 with a Hallman MBC.
Mods to the car are as follows:

DTM Spec FMIC
DTM 3" TB Exhaust with single exit
DTM Race Resonator
Hallman PRO RX MBC
3" K&N Filter

The cores are going on sale now and are available for immediate shipment.
Special pricing is $495 plus shipping. The kit come complete with new couplings and clamps.

Here is a pic of what the fin structure looks like from the inside. It is an extremely efficient core and flows over 1400 cfm.

Here is the before and after dyno comparison

And the one with AFR adjusted using the EcuTek Software.

Looks great Nick! Those are some great results from the intercooler alone. The tube and fin cores are extremely efficient and I'm assuming that is why the stock intercooler is tube and fin as well. Mitsubishi has always been pretty accurate with the key components in a turbocharged vehicle.

We had a to find a good compromise between efficiency, heat exchange and flow capacity. This product fits our needs perfectly. It took a little bit to get all the kinks worked out, but it is BADASS!

so because this flows over 1400cfm, and the ams flows at 1250cfm, does that mean that this FMIC's performance is superior to the AMS FMIC? as in, this one will result in a higher gain in power?

That's good power without swapping out the turbo. I wonder what it would make with a turbo upgrade?

It would depend on the application. Most importantly, numbers would need to be represented in a way for the consumer to understand at what pressure the core was rated at to get the CFM capacity. Our core is tested at 25 psi.
This core has proven to make very good power with limited modifications AND our similar core for an 8 has proven to make over 800 on our Mustang Dyno without even a hint of restriction or loss of efficiency.
A properly setup Tube and Fin , like this one, will have very little pressure drop across the core while providing superior heat transfer. That is the key and the NEED for Street and Road Race applications.

This FMIC appears to have more surface area than your original FMIC for the X. The pics aren't as clear as the ones from the other intercooler. Does this one have split fin design? How dense are the fins compared to your original FMIC that you had listed before?
