ETS Exhaust installed (Comparisons included)

ETS Exhaust installed with resonated test pipe.

Test Date:
5/30/08 and 5/31/08

Testing setup:
Exterior: Camera placed 6 feet from rear of car at ground level.
Interior: Camera placed in passenger seat.

Very very nice.

The Evo exterior sound clip sounds more like a Mustang then an Evo to me.

yeah that g37 sounds awesome. I wish our evos could sound better, but it is just a 4 cylinder after all, what do ya expect. It still sounds good, but I just wish it were deeper or had more of a howl like the g37.

Added drive away sample as well as in-car with ETS UICP, LUIP, FMIC and intake.

The deep rumble of the exhaust is introducing rattles in at least three different places. If this system did not have the resonator, it would be stripped off the car. I did not want it this loud, but currently the aggression it creates is growing on me. I am quite sure with a cat, it would mellow out a lot. But I can live with an exhaust that is 3db higher for the 15-20HP gained.

Make sure you are listening to this on a computer that has a subwoofer. Without a sub, you cannot judge any exhaust note.

So what's the difference between a resonated test pipe and a regular test pipe? Which ones is louder and yields more gains?
