the K&N is washable so it is cheaper on the long run then the HKS.

Exactly!

$40 for a disposable vs $50 washable (w/1m mile warranty) plus I already had a K&N recharge kit ($10), so it was an easy decision. Works would have been $130 + $20 for their cleaning/recharge kit...

DSport has a write up in their mag this month with something like 12-14 hp, but they also gained like 7 hp from some fresh royal purple, so take that for what it's worth...

a friend of mine dynoed the HKS drop in one and got around 10whp. It's a good option if you're not going to get intake and want the stock airbox look.
