Evo X Fuel Pump And Bigger Injector Question.
Ok so i was wondering if you guys think i am going to need a bigger fuel pump and injectors and if any one has made a fuel pump and injectors for the X yet. These will be my modds next month when i get the car tuned.
U-R DOWN PIPE
U-R TEST PIPE
U-R CAT BACK EXHAUST
U-R UICP
U-R 02 HOUSING
AMS INTAKE
GREDDY PROFEC B SPEC II EBC
ACT CLUTCH
DTM FMIC
DTM DOMINATOR 2 TURBO upgrade
TUNED BY MITCH
Meth kit (maybe)
So what do you guys think.

Yea VividRacing should be able to help you out with the fuel pump and the injectors based on some of their recent posts, and yes I think it would be a good idea with the list you got, especially the dominator 2 upgrade. Question though why are you getting a EBC if you're getting a tune? The ECU is very capable of regulating boost by itself (reflashed to your specs ofcourse). i was just curious, sorry if it's OT.

can't remember from which thread and credit goes to the original poster...I copied it in txt file so...
would say
QUOTE (this is not complete...but the guy talk about the engine(btw from tomei it'S good for 360hp stock not really more) and the guy from monster-sport seems to go in this way too...he also talk about brake pads which shouldn't be replaced cuz it will mess with the S-AWC...etc...I can post the complete thing but here's the part about injectors and fuel pump)
"The ECU reflashing should be about $700 USD which includes a high output fuel system harness. I asked him what the harness was for and this is what he said:
The capacity of the stock fuel pump and injectors are really high on the new Evo's so you wouldn't really have to replace them. He says that wiring harness for the fuel system uses narrow gauge wires that isn't enough capacity to handle higher loads so they recommend replacing the harness whenever modding the Evo X. He says that it was the same for the Evo IX so their ECU kit for the Evo IX also includes the harness."

Never heard of any harness available for now though

sorry about the tomei 360hp thing
they're not talking about the engine but about the turbo...my bad...
but from an edmunds article about the FQ-360 here's why HKS stops at 360
"If you start targeting 380-390 hp, you need to introduce new con rods and pistons, which adds dramatically to the cost"
anyway I wouldn't try going too high in power gain, cuz it handle it as seen by Agency power and vivid kits but the question is for how long...as a daily driver you might want to get 100k+ miles from your engine???
here's the tomei article about the engine (in 2 parts)
http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/08...b11/index.html
http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/08...ort/index.html
really good infos about the stock internals
