114 mph on the stock turbo and a blown clutch!
tonight we went to the track with our 370 whp Evo X powered with Buschur parts and a Dyno Flash Ecutek tune
Sadly our clutch is not able to hold the power but we managed a best of 12.3 and a best mph of 114.
We need a clutch
My Subaru is flying at 133 mph

Wow man nice!
There was a guy at the recent Mitsubishi Owner's day claiming to have ran 11.78 @ 116 with just an Injen Intake, intercooler piping, exhaust, and an AMS mail in flash. I'm calling shenanigans to his times.

Nice mph.
Haha the guy at MOD was retarded. Did you like his mr badge on his base X? Anyhow I was talking with some of the AMS guys about it and all they could do was laugh...
BTW he got a managed many 1.6-1.70 60' times as well...
On the stock clutch.
Also it was an axle-back exhaust.

On the way home we almost had a chance to run him in my friend's evo, but instead of slowing down next to us, he floored it by us so my friend had to downshift. We started slowly catching up even though the guy was probably going a good 20mph faster to start off with. Right then we knew it wasn't an 11.78 second car for sure.

He was claiming 11's for that fake MR?
I was pissed off after walking up behind his car to find out it was a fake... I was hopping to see another X MR at MOD 08 other than the factory displayed one.

When I looked at his car I honestly thought he had cobbled together that upper IC pipe himself from parts meant for a different car! It used stock IC pipe for the part that connected to the intercooler.

sadly our x was lent out as a loaner car to dozens of service customers at ICS many of whom probably beat on the car so it was not totally unexpected to find the stock clutch unable to hold the power. Considering that this was our first trip at the track with the X of was a decent start.
5 years ago when I was the first to run 11's with my 03 Evo 8 I also melted my clutch so in this regard the Evo has not changed
I was overjoyed this evening to pilot my full weight, stock suspension Sti into the 10's on pump and meth. That was something I have been working on for a real long time. Thanks to Super Tech Valves, Exedy and the Drive Shaft Shop for the help.
