'08 GSR - Trouble Shifting into Reverse!

Car will very very rarely shift into reverse on first try. Even shifting into second first won't help. I actually have to move the car forward a few inches before it will shift to reverse almost every time. Anyone else heard of this problem? My mitsu dealer is about to hear about it but I wanted to see if anyone else had seen it.

And not at all related to gears... my battery seems to also be a dud, as the car doesn't seem to have enough juice to start sometimes.

same problem here. I can shift into reverse on the first try about half the time. The other half I think it's engaged and let out the clutch, only to look like a dumbass grinding grinding gears, or it clearly won't engage. You're not alone!

take your foot off the clutch than put the clutch back in then shift to rev.

i heard something about they used 1st and 3rd to make reverse gear?

so if i cant get it in reverse, i shift to 1st and 3rd then reverse and it goes in every time.

put it in neutral... let the clutch out...push it back in... shift into reverse.

That always works for me.
