I believe that this is the result of how the Evo X's "bucket" fuel system is designed as a whole. If you are having problems with it now, I don't believe our pump upgrade will fix your issues.

Making a machined housing to hold twin pumps is not a problem. Finding a solution for everyone is though. After the pumps are installed we'll have limited space to "Y" them together, and then there's the question of how everyone wants to connect the larger lines. What fittings, and what sizes?

Or do you simply want us to make a housing for the twin pumps, and you guys take care of the rest yourselves?

Great answer to a bad problem people are having with the 10, great work guys!

I think a drop in replacement of some sort like how Buschur or Full Blown have done for the Evo 8's and 9's will have the most success. Whoever can comes up with one first is going to have a hard time keeping them in stock... Obviously stock fittings work well under most circumstances while keeping the cost down, and if an available upgrade later to AN fittings is possible, that would be very beneficial.

Food for thought

Question

Darryl,

planning on getting your Fuel Pump Install Kit for my evo but what kind of fuel filter do i need for my application?

what size of inlet and outlet (6, 8, 10an?)? which brand would you use?

do you have a solution for it?

does the filter go inside or outside of the pump housing?

when is it going to be out?

thank you

kirk

Filter would have to go outside the housing. No room for one in. Probably out front somewhere.

You may want to wait for our fuel filter solution.

The fuel filter needs to go outside of the assembly. The problem is that there's only hard lines between the fuel pump assembly and the fuel rail. Nothing easy to adapt a fuel filter to (eg. rubber line). The fuel filter kit we're releasing will be able to attach to the quick connect fittings up front. It will be the simplest solution available.

We should have this available in a week's time.
