best intercooler
Later, Ken
I like the Perrin core, may not be as thick as some of the other cores, but the idea behind it was to create more surface area thus giving better flow through the core and cooler air temps.

no such a thing as a best. The best is what work with your set up.
You might get a biggest one and you still running on stock turbo...
Pick what you fit for your set up. And what you like.
Pay attention to the weight also.

I'm wondering how much the stock IC will limit me after I switch to the FR Red. Has anyone done any unbiased testing on this (even on an VIII)? Everyone seems to upgrade their FMIC first.
Of course I'm sure I'll upgrade eventually, but as I look outside and see it's 6 deg. F today, I find it hard to believe I would see much benefit until summer. That is unless the stock IC is such a restriction that temperature doesn't even matter.

actually its not, there is a lot to an intercooler, type of core, shape of end takes, what its made of, a good start would be an intercooler that has a GRIFFEN core, this company makes best cooling products including i/c and radiators for race cars, thats all they do.
+1. I'll be ordering the Perrin FMIC and TBE after the holidays. Too bad they haven't released any I/C piping as well.
