Thumbs down First Mr Trans To Let Go?

So driving back home tonight. Driving downtown nice and easy, probably 5-10 minute gentle drive in the rain with 6c outside air temp. Pull onto the highway in normal mode on the SST accelerate to pass a truck and bang. Transmission light comes on and it starts acting as if i have a heavily slipping clutch on a normal transmission when i accelerate. Then it starts jumping through 4,5,6 so i pull over and the car wont idle. Put it in Park and it idles at 2200rpm. Turn it off wait for 5 minutes and start again and same deal. Anyway drive it home as my house is like 2 minutes away and its all over the place. Leave it for 10/15 minutes at the house and go to start again and the warning light comes up straight away. Car has 8000km on it and is 5 months old. I baby it, let it warm up before i drive it, let it cool down 2-3 minutes at the end of each drive.
Pretty un impressed i have to say. It may be something simple like one sensor e.t.c but anyway i will ask the dealer to pick it up tomorrow. Also car is bone stock- was just starting to go down the modding route after what i thought was a decent amount of time to see if these transmissions have problems when modded.

I don't have any experience with the North Van dealer, unfortunately. If they don't treat you well, let me know and I'll introduce you to the guys at New Type Mitsubishi in Richmond. They're good guys and have supported us countless times with our shop's demo Evo X.

The service department at New Type is pretty good; both to us and to the guys we've brought them.

As for price, I'm not too sure. I know for a period of time, all of the Lower Mainland Mitsubishi dealers were all charging a 3k markup over MSRP on the GSR's. But that was way back in spring and early summer. New Type has also sold some Evo's with accessories too, such as wheels, strut bar, etc, so maybe that was the more expensive one? In any case, I'm not sure as we don't really deal with them on car sales. Our shop's Evo X was negotiated directly with the owner there.

I hope all these problems have to do with software. Only issue I had with mine was when putting it in reverse. The R light would blink, and you would hear it trying to go into reverse but no luck. I would put it into park then reverse again and finnaly it would work right.
