Blouch private labels their turbos for a pretty well known Subaru turbo vendor and their products work well. I wouldn't worry about their reliability issues.

So is FP sending you the newer version of the red to retest or are you just sticking with the Dominator?

jep, our current flash for the EVOX is extremely close to be perfect. If you have our current flash we may be able to make more power but it is kind of doubtful.

If you come here for a custom tune, we do the custom tune for the same price as the mail in tune.

Here is the dyno sheet of the car with the stock turbo on it vs. the car now with the Dominator 2 turbo. You will see that we were running a little more peak boost on the stock turbo, about .6 psi and that the AFR's are basically the same. Both dyno runs were done in 3rd gear. Very little loss in low end power with the Dominator 2 compared to the stock turbo but huge gains up top, 76 whp at 7300 rpm.

Mike,

we have been working with them since our new facility opened, I have yet to have an issue.... it's been fantastic.... I had a turbo blow on the dyno, drove to their shop, they rebuilt it, and i got back and tuned the car, same day, while my client waited...

I'm glad to see David working with them... and Mike, custom gt40s?

Well i have been running this turbo for about 8,000 miles. I got mine though DTM and love the power. It spools fast and the turbo is strong, great quality. I am over 4000 ft above sea level and hit 12.23 @116 mph running out of 4th gear. I am sitting on 390awhp and 330tq on a Mustang Dyno so about 420awhp and 360tq on a dyno jet. I no i can break 11's but my clutch was acting up so i am putting a clutch master in and a lighter fly wheel and heading back to the track when they open back up. . I am thinking 11.8x's this high above sea level.

Then i am cranking the boost up to 28 - 32 psi on meth. Trying to get over 500awhp with cams. Maybe hit low 11s high 10s

But if i had to guess i would say the Blouch turbo is = to the FP red!!!!!!

You are running the 2.0 right? How does the 2.5 stack up then, i guess in your opinion? I was looking to break 450+, maybe shoot for 500 without using meth, but more than likely cams. THink the 2.5 can do it? I haven't really seen anyone running that turbo.

Us Subaru fans have been using the Blouch Turbos for a long, long time. They have really been nothing but super impressive. Both Forced Performance and Blouch are top turbo shops.

Its good to see David getting more interested in the X - this surely means more go fast parts for our shop X will be comming along soon.

A dick head nut hugger here drove our Evo X head on into a Sabb so it will be some time until I can test the cosworth cams we bought for our X. And to thing the guy who did that wears sparco driving boots and gloves to drive his cars around town (what a night mare)

For some comic relief (I need some after seeing our Evo X front end look like a demolition derby contestant) I had a show down with some street gang members last evening as I was video taping their profane and abusive verbal assults on innocent by standers. When they noticed I was video taping they became very agitated and tried to intimidate me with various gang hand gestures and reaching in their sweat pants for non existant weapons. I just stood there taping them before they (all 4 of them) took off like **** through a goose in the oppoisite direction.

Happy new year everyone !

The turbo is the 2.0.

We put the cams in today (I started a new thread on it) and the car is now making 407 whp and 340 ft lbs of torque with 24 psi of boost on pump gas. Very impressive. The car is freaking FAST now.

Thanks for all your help Al, CBRD and Blouch.

Didnt know they had a 2.5 out. MMMM but you probley can hit 450awhp or over 400awhp with out meth. I had meth on cuz i wanted to run high boost but my fuel ran out and my BOV was surging. So i am only running 23psi. But ill be going back soon to get a retune and throw some cams and upgrade my fuel system

BTW, before I forget. The turbo does have some surging when loaded very hard at lower than normal RPM's. I was driving around 35 mph in 5th gear and floored it, the response is good and the car does accelerate but there was some notable compressor surge. Just wanted to bring it up.
